Europe may hit Google with antitrust complaint in early 2012

The European Commission could formally accuse Google of antitrust abuse early next year, insiders disclosed late Thursday. A large 400-page draft of a statement of objections was underway, the Financial Times said, that would accuse Google of an "abuse of dominance." Financial Times hits 1M web app users

Britain's Financial Times, which famously did an end-run around the App Store by launching a highly-customized mobile site and encouraging users to save the shortcut as a "web app," reports that it has hit one million users since the launch of the new site in June. The company says that it now sees 20 percent of total web views and 15 percent of new subscriptions coming from mobile devices.
