Travel the world virually with Tour Wrist panoramic app for Web, iPad or iPhone

What with the rising oil prices, and the resulting higher air fares and gasoline prices, a lot of Americans are staying put this year, forgoing the travel to exotic locations. Fear not, we’ve found a website and a couple of cool apps that will let you do the traveling on your computer, iPad or iPhone.

Now you can travel remotely, thanks to the folks at Tour Wrist, which, on an iPhone or IPad, lets you see panoramic 360 degree images of travel hot spots in some very cool ways.
Wanna go kayaking in white water? Check this out. How about visiting the Rock of Gibraltar? Here it is. The Golden Gate Bridge. No problem. A cruise ship? You’re on board.

You can do all this from the Tour Wrist website , but where it’s really fun is with the free app for the iPad or the iPhone.

With the apps, you hold it in front of you and turn around As you do, you get a 360 degree panoramic display. Very cool. You can search by the kind of place or attraction you want, or click on a map to find specific geographical spots.
