The brand new Phone 5 is now available and for many of those looking to trade up comes the need to trade in… to recoup part of the upgrade cost by selling their old models. Our PC Mike tells us there are lots of online opportunities to turn your old iPhone into cash or other ways that will make the new purchase much less painful.

Verizon Wireless also offers a trade-in service. Their offer? A $250 gift card.
How about Apple? Apple now has a recycle your iPhone trade-in program. Now we’re talking. Apple says they’ll give me a $315 gift card for my 4S model..
One more. A service called USell.com works a little differently. They shop your item to other buyers of used mobile phones. They get me an offer for… ta da!… $320 by cash or Pay Pal.
You should know, market prices do fluctuate with demand. But once you get a price and accept, these outfits will lock it in for you.
