Football fans are getting read for the big game – the Super Bowl, just a couple weeks away, after a couple more playoff games and the Pro Bowl, of course. But true fans are making their smartphone and tablet plans right now to make sure, they don’t miss a thing.
First, the game itself (along with the Pro Bowl on January 29) will be streamed online this year, to just about every kind of mobile device and tablet you can find. The NFL and NBC Sports will team up with Verizon’s NFL Mobile App, and NBC Sports will stream on the network’s All Access Sports site.
For the iPad, you will want the Official NFL Game Program. This is obviously last year’s as 2012’s details participants are still being worked out. But the app will have interviews, lots of video highlights, complete team rosters, profiles of the big stars and coaching info. Perfect for supplementing TV coverage from the sofa.
For inside info on the big game, it’s hard to beat Tweets from NFL Players. Here’s an app that grabs all the Twitter feeds from the players themselves – they all love social media – as well as full access to the NFLPlayers.com website.
And if watching the Super Bowl commercials is more important to you than watching the game, grab the SuperAds app, a collection of the best, most interesting, and funny videos from previous games.
